Our 177 bedroom House provides private bedrooms, delicious meals, indoor and outdoor play areas, comfortable living rooms, games and activities, and much more. Cincinnati Children’s is the third ranked children’s hospital in the country and one of the best pediatric hospitals in the world. As a result, the medical center attracts some of the sickest patients from countries around the globe who travel here for care and need places to stay.
Weekend charity event to benefit Ronald McDonald House
RMHC serves millions of children and their families each year, but more need our help. Yet, simply because we don’t have enough sleeping rooms around the world, 138,000+ families are turned away each year. Your donation can help us to expand to fulfill the needs of more sick children and their families. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati has been supporting families from around the world for nearly 40 years. To date, we have welcomed more than 37,000 families into our Home.

To thank the community, Ronald McDonald House incorporated homages to Cincinnati throughout the building, including naming rooms after different neighborhoods. By choosing to contribute to our Taste of Hope meal program, you are making a difference. Whether your group comes in to prepare a meal or you make a donation to support our program, you are the reason they have healthy, delicious meals. With your help, we can take care of the essential items they need and give them a reason to smile. The items you donate to support our House make a difference to thousands of families every year.
Support our Taste of Hope program
The nonprofit provides lunch and dinner for its families every day, so they don’t have to worry about preparing or buying food. While the program is suspended to reduce the number of visitors to the House, there are still ways for volunteers to help support the meal program. When you give a gift to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati, you are helping families from around the world stay close to their critically ill child. Our House and our Cincinnati community will be their “home-away-from-home” as they face the biggest challenges of their lives.
Since many of these patients have complicated illnesses, the average stay at Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald House is around 60 days. We are a home for critically-ill children and their families. They travel from around the world in need of expert medical care in Cincinnati. We welcome them with home-cooked meals, a comfortable bed to rest and a support system of staff, volunteers and other families who know what they are going through. Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald House provides a home for critically ill children and their families while they get the life-saving medical care they need. Even without the volunteer program, there are still ways for people to support Ronald McDonald House and the families staying there.
Volunteering at our House is both a rewarding and challenging responsibility. Family Support Services (FSS) provides compassionate emotional support, education, and resources to the families and staff of the Ronald McDonald House. We are available to you seven days a week, 24 hours a day, every day of the year even after you leave the house and return home.
We learned that PRIDE is Personal Best, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy. After he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma last fall, his family brought him to the Ronald McDonald House as he received care at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati provides a place for families to call home so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little to no cost. We believe that when a child is hospitalized the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.
